I am now officially banded!
Mini-update - Everything went well and I am recovering OK. I am getting that horrid shoulder pain but all in all it's pretty good. Will give a re-cap when feeling more up to it.
Thank you for all your well wishes and I look forward to returning to blogland shortly :)
Yay! So glad to hear that it went well :) The should pain's a bitch--you really just have to walk it out, that helped me the most.
ReplyDeletehoorayy!! congrats. Did they warn you about the pain? I was told it is from the air creeping up behind your liver..your body doesnt know what that pressure should be like and your nerves register it as shoulder pain.
ReplyDeleteI found that stretching with my arms above my head and moving side to side helped.
Liquids were hard for me...why protein was edible (or have you worked all of this out)..I am so excited for you!
Well done kell!!!! I bet your glad to have this hurdle over - congrats!!! Can't wait to hear more once you're feeling better. Best wishes!!!!
ReplyDeleteFantastic!!
ReplyDeleteYay! Congratulations and welcome to the club!
ReplyDeleteI didn't have the shoulder pain. I've heard to try a heat pack and degas tablets.
Welcome to the other side! The shoulder pain will subside in a couple of days.
ReplyDeleteCongrats on becoming a member of the band! I had the shoulder pain too. It took me a couple months to completely get rid of it. It was a gradual thing but it will get less and less as time goes by.
ReplyDeleteoh yay! I am so excited for you! Seriously though, walk walk walk. I did not walk nearly enough and it didn't help!
ReplyDeleteWelcome to the sisterhood :) I hope your recovery is as smooth as mine was. Can't wait to hear details!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations! Like everyone has said, walking helps with the gas pains as well as stretching and a heat pad. It will go away soon. Glad you are on the other side ;-)
