How important has it been to you to take measurements throughout your journey?
I have just realised that I haven't done this yet and was wondering if it was too late. What do you think ... is taking measurements 9 weeks in too late??
I bet when you're 9 MONTHS or even a year in you will be happy you did it - even if it was 9 weeks in! =) I def plan on doing my measurements once a month with my pictures. Just as motivation in case some months the scale might not be moving when the measuring tape is!
Nope. Take the measurements now, just so you can see some progress if you ever get hit with a plateau. Even though I haven't lost much weight in the last few weeks, my clothes fit different. Go now. Measure!
It's never too late. Take them now! I did mine the day before surgery. It will be nice to look back on later down the track and see where the weight have gone from.
Thanks for following me! My surgeon does leave between 2-3ccs in the band on surgery day. Weird, hey? Anyways, I need to take measurements too! So, go for it!
I've taken mine about every 8 weeks and its made a huge difference in my mentality. I am working hard with a trainer, building lots of muscle and sometimes the scale doesn't move very quickly but I'll see I lost an inch off my waist in less than a month. That is motivating. Do it!
take the measurements. And take photos periodically, too. I take photos every 10 pounds and measurements every Sunday. Sometimes the scale doesn't move but the measuring tape does. Sometimes I don't think much has changed in 10 pounds but the photos show me just exactly how wrong I am.
I never did despite so many people saying to and I SO wish I had. There is no such thing as too late.

ReplyDeleteNever too late. I only do mine periodically but I think it will defo be worth it when you get to your goal to see where you have come from. V.
ReplyDeleteI have said almost everyday since my husband has been home to measure me. I am 5 weeks out! Let's do it!
ReplyDeleteTake them! You will totally thank yourself for it later. My most fun is to set the tape on my old measurement and show my family!
ReplyDeleteDefinitely take the measurements. There have been times when the scale refused to move and that was all that saved my sanity. It's amazing!
